TGRGCD District 5

Pubic Notices
District Rules

The Trinity Glen Rose Groundwater Conservation District (TGR) is divided into 5 districts across northern Bexar county. Use the following maps to get more information on the geographical division of District 5.

District 5 - Jorge Gonzalez

Jorge Gonzalez was elected to serve District 5 and represents the eastern reach of the Trinity Glen Rose District. This is the second largest district in geographic size and has a highly faulted underground structure.

Wholly situated east of Highwy 281, the district runs from 1604 to the county line on north, bounded on the west by Highway 281, and Cibolo Creek on the north and east.  This is the least developed area, but in recent years has seen increased commercial activity along the 281 corridor.

The recently developed PGA Village Golf Course and Marriott Resort are two of the more recognizable destinations in D5. Those developments occurred under high scrutiny from the public and have proven to be good enviornmental neighbors to the area.

The Vulcan Quarry mines limestone in northern Bexar County and is subject to various environmental regulations due to its proximity to recharge features and aquifer water.

TGR News

The Trinity Glen Rose Groundwater Conservation District makes it a priority to follow water issues and information in the typically hot and dry State of Texas. We will be working with our customers to create more ways to reach water users throughout the district. Better informed water users make better decisions on how they can efficiently use the water they need each day.
